About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to achieve sales objectives within revenue target based on POR growth assumptions for all Japanese Accounts in Thailand.
Gain market share by taking business from the competition or by winning new business such as a new line at a (potential) customer.
Provide technical services to meet customer requirements for ultimate use of products to avoid potential problems and minimize any damage caused.
Develop, implement and monitor sales strategies and resources to achieve POR. Support substantial sales strategy development and customer communications.

Key Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B sales, account management, and business development with chemical industry.
- Strong technical background in chemicals, surface treatment, manufacturing, or a related industrial field, with the ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot customer processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts, build long-term customer relationships, identify customer needs, and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct product introductions, training, technical presentations, chemical trials, and resolve customer process issues.
- Strong English and Japanese communication skills.

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through supplier-targeted campaigns. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track revenue performance and campaign delivery to ensure KPIs are met.
- Collaborate with Client Service (CS) to co-present post-campaign evaluations and insights to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM records for visibility and forecasting.
- Analyze campaign ROI and recommend improvements for future initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy for the Chinese market to achieve revenue and overall business objectives for both hotels.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities from Chinese travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, corporate accounts, MICE agencies, luxury travel networks and strategic partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, buyers and influencers within the Chinese travel trade and corporate market.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, site inspections, trade appointments, roadshows and sales missions in Thailand and key Chinese markets.
- Develop account plans for key existing and potential accounts, including revenue potential, production history, business opportunities and action plans.

- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, customer behavior and distribution developments within the Chinese market and provide actionable recommendations.

- Work proactively with the sales team to cross-sell and maximize opportunities across both properties.
- Handle complex client negotiations, contracts, rates and commercial agreements within approved guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both hotels' products, facilities, restaurants, meeting spaces and key selling points.

The role works closely with the Wellness/Spa, Marketing, Rooms, and other operational teams to ensure effective sales conversion, excellent guest experiences, and achievement of revenue targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Wellness Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies and action plans to achieve wellness and spa revenue targets.
- Drive sales of spa treatments, wellness programs, memberships, packages, promotions, and other wellness-related products and services.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments to increase wellness revenue.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, corporate accounts, hotel guests, members, travel agencies, and wellness partners.
- Conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations, site inspections, and networking activities to generate new business.
- Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, quotations, proposals, and potential business opportunities in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the development of corporate wellness programs, partnerships, membership initiatives, and special packages to expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute wellness campaigns, promotions, events, and sales initiatives.
- Work closely with the Spa/Wellness Operations team to ensure promotions and packages are commercially viable and operationally well executed.
- Monitor sales performance, revenue results, conversion rates, customer acquisition, and other relevant sales KPIs.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, business updates, and performance analyses for management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, wellness concepts, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure all sales activities are conducted in accordance with Anantara and Minor Hotels standards, policies, and procedures.
- Build strong internal relationships with relevant departments to maximize cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Sales, Wellness Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the luxury hotel, spa, wellness, hospitality, fitness, lifestyle, or related industry.
- Previous experience in spa/wellness sales, membership sales, corporate sales, hotel sales, or luxury service sales is highly desirable.
- Experience in achieving sales targets, developing new accounts, and managing client relationships.
- Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a genuine interest in wellness, spa, lifestyle, and hospitality.
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and convert leads into revenue.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of revenue-generation principles.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and business performance.
- Proactive, energetic, target-driven, and self-motivated.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant sales systems.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure to fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara and Avani+ brand, and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace.
- Mission to primarily promote the hotel and where possible, hotels belonging to the chain in his/her area/region. To achieve optimal sales at the best possible conditions for the company.
- Ensure the smooth running operation of the commercial section in consultation with the Director of Sales & Marketing on all matters.
- Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge on all Anantara product and service offerings, and the products, services, rates and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.
- Approach personal sales activities from a strategic perspective, understanding the relative importance and priority of the current account base, and directing personal sales efforts accordingly.
- Continually review the actual production of each account against the potential for that account, and review suggestions for improvement with department leadership.
- Focus on assertively establishing new client contacts and developing detailed information on the potential revenues from these accounts.
- Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives, working with department leadership to ensure these objectives are met.
- Take responsibility for your own professional development, ensuring that you have the financial literacy, negotiation and face-to-face selling skills needed to successfully do your job.
- Interacts effectively with sales, kitchen, vendors, competitors, local community, event team and other hotel departments in order to monitor guest satisfaction.
- Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to Anantara & Avani+
- Actively participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips and roadshows as required to meet the sales targets of the hotel.
- Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Anantara & Avani+ products
- Ensure that all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in MICE Sales, preferably within an international hotel brand.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities in the MICE segment.
- Strong knowledge of the local and international MICE market.
- Proficient in Opera Cloud and EventDraw for event planning and sales operations.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term client partnerships.
- Positive attitude, open-minded, proactive, and results-driven with a strong commercial mindset.
