- This role will holds end-to-end P&L ownership and drives high-level revenue growth across our advertising ecosystem. This role leads the long-term ad marketplace strategy, balancing macro supply and demand dynamics, setting monetization models, and steering cross-functional initiatives across data science, product, engineering, and commercial leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic vision, deep technical proficiency in ad tech, and exceptional executive-level communication skills, with a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale marketplace dynamics.
- What You’ll Do:
- P&L & Revenue Leadership: Hold end-to-end accountability for ad revenue targets, financial forecasting, and macro-level supply and demand optimization to maximize long-term monetization.
- Pricing Vision & Architecture: Design and optimize pricing models (e.g., dynamic pricing, bidding dynamics) and promotional frameworks to drive merchant adoption and marketplace competitiveness.
- Inventory & Placement Strategy: Define slot ratios, frequency caps, and ad load logic across the ecosystem to balance ad monetization with user experience.
- Advanced Macro-Diagnosis & Algorithm Logic: Direct teams in diagnosing metric fluctuations, defining core ranking mechanics (e.g., eCPM, fill rates), and ensuring algorithms reward high-quality inventory and maximize client ROAS.
- Executive Alignment: Sponsor key strategic marketplace initiatives and serve as the definitive voice for the Ad Marketplace during executive and C-level strategic reviews.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and cultivate a high-performing analytical culture, directly mentoring team members, establishing operational workflows, and guiding career development.
- What You’ll Need:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Ad Tech, E-commerce, or Marketplace Strategy, with significant experience in revenue management or ad marketplace optimization.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand Machine Learning, Personalization, Pricing and Ranking model architecture, data pipelines, and API integrations to converse effectively with Data Scientist Heads.
- Leadership: Strong influence and negotiation skills, capable of driving consensus among senior executives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Financial or related fields. MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strategic & P&L Leadership: Proven ability to manage revenue goals, align marketplace mechanics with overarching business goals, and lead cross-functional execution.
- Analytical & Technical Foundation: Strong analytical baseline (Excel, SQL, Dashboarding tools) required for pressure-testing data-driven insights and evaluating complex monetization models.
- Executive Storytelling & Presentation: Exceptional ability to distill complex data into strategic narratives and deliver impactful executive-level presentations.
- People Management: Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing analytical and business management talent.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems, generate solutions, and overcome obstacles.
